How to reach the office

Three ways to get started

Call the clinic

The fastest route to an appointment. Call (310) 423-4700 Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific. Ask for Dr. Weiner's schedule and mention if you are calling about a new prostate cancer diagnosis, since those visits are prioritized.

Request a call back online

Use the Cedars-Sinai appointment request form and a scheduler will contact you. This is the best option outside business hours.

Email a clinical question

For non-urgent clinical questions, write to GroupAskDrWeiner@cshs.org. This inbox is monitored by Dr. Weiner's clinical team, not continuously, so please do not use it for anything urgent.

If this is a medical emergency, call 911. Email and web forms are not monitored around the clock and should never be used for urgent symptoms. Existing Cedars-Sinai patients can also message the care team through My CS-Link.

Second opinions

Requesting a second opinion

A prostate cancer diagnosis rarely requires a decision within days, and a second opinion changes the recommended plan more often than most patients expect. Dr. Weiner reviews outside cases regularly, including for patients travelling from outside California.

To make the visit as useful as possible, bring or send ahead:

  • Your pathology report, and the slides if your treating centre can release them
  • Recent PSA values, with dates, going back as far as you have them
  • Prostate MRI images on disc or through a shared portal, not just the report
  • Any PSMA PET, CT, or bone scan imaging
  • Genomic or biomarker results such as Decipher, Prolaris, or Oncotype
  • A list of your current medications and other medical conditions

Already booked? Prepare for your visit with WellPrept, the tool Dr. Weiner uses to help patients organize their questions and records before the appointment.

Research, trials, and collaboration

For questions about the lab's work or a potential collaboration, see the Weiner Research Lab, or write to GroupAskDrWeiner@cshs.org with "Research" in the subject line. Open clinical trials are listed on the prostate cancer page.

Press and media

Dr. Weiner comments regularly on prostate cancer screening, treatment, and health policy. Recent coverage is collected on the media page. Journalists on deadline should call the clinic number above or reach out on X.

Philanthropy

To discuss a gift to the lab, see support research, which covers online giving, appreciated securities, donor-advised funds, and named gifts.
