Research

The Weiner Research Lab

"Deliver the right cancer treatment to the right patient at the right dose and the right time."

Our lab merges patient data with highly annotated genomics to advance our ability to individualize cancer care. We work across the molecular biology of prostate cancer, the imaging tools that find it, and the systems that determine who gets the right treatment in time.

  • Molecular correlates of PSMA and predictors of treatment response
  • Genomic biomarkers for focal therapy and active surveillance
  • Disparities in prostate cancer screening, diagnosis, and outcomes
  • Risk stratification of patients with recurrence after primary treatment

Care that listens, expertise that delivers

Reviews shared by patients on Google and Yelp.

"Dr. Weiner not only understands the medical intricacies of his work, but also made an ongoing effort to attend to the very real human and emotional aspects that accompany his practice. On the day I received my PET scan, he rang me within 20 minutes of my walking out of the scanning facility to share the good news. It's that type of compassion that makes Dr. Weiner such a blessing to be affiliated with."

"He is a highly skilled surgeon. I'm recovering quickly and have mostly avoided the negative side effects that can result from this procedure. He's made me feel like he not only cares about me as a patient, but also cares about me as a person. I would highly recommend him to anyone."
Verified patient review · Robotic prostatectomy
"After consulting multiple doctors, I was fortunate to end up under the care of Dr. Weiner. His team made time to swiftly schedule a consultation, followed by surgery just a week later. Every prediction he made was later confirmed to be exactly as he had expected. He is naturally kind and patient."
